Everything from how much classes cost, important calendar dates, and class requirements, this page will inform you as you start your journey at SDC!

Fall Registration and Tuition Information

Fall registration cost:

  • The Fall registration fee is $15 per student.

  • The maximum registration fee per family, regardless of the number of children, is $30.

Tuition cost per hour:

  • Tuition will be charged based on the number of hours students are enrolled in.

  • Families with multiple children registered will receive a discount of 5%

Semester duration:

  • The Fall semester consists of 15 full weeks of classes.

Monthly installment plan:

  • The total cost for the semester will be divided and spread across four months.

  • Tuition payments will be collected on the second Monday of each month (October - December), with the exception of the first payment, which will be collected on the second Monday of classes.

  • The installment dates for the Fall semester are as follows:

  • September 15th

  • October 13th

  • November 10th

  • December 8th

Non-refundable tuition:

  • Please note that all tuition payments are non-refundable.

Dropped Class Policy:

  • For every class dropped after Monday, September 22nd, you will be charged a non-refundable fee of $70. This fee maxes out after 3 classes.

  • Examples:

    • 2 Classes dropped: 2 classes x 70 = $140 drop fee

    • 4 Classes dropped: 3 classes x $70 = $210 drop fee (only 3 are charged)

Recital:

  • There will be no recital for the 2025/26 dance year. Recital will occur in the Spring semester of every other year (off 2026, on 2027), and is optional for students.

  • August 30th at 10 a.m.

Audition for Spring Performance:

  • September 20th (more info to come)

Simplified Schedule for Fall Semester 2025-26:

  • Classes run for 15 weeks

  • Start: September 8th

  • End: January 10th

Scheduled Breaks (no classes):

  • Thanksgiving Break: November 24th - 29th

  • Winter Break: December 22nd - January 3rd

Last week of classes:

  • January 5th - 10th

Makeup Week (as needed):

  • January 12th - 17th

Required Classes

(pre-professional levels)

  • Levels A2 & B

    • At least 2 ballet technique classes

    • At least 1 modern or contemporary class

    • Optional: Pointe 1/Pre-Pointe, Jazz

    These are the minimum required classes, we recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible.

  • Level C

    • At least 2 ballet technique classes

    • Contemporary with Emmanuel on Tuesdays

    • At least 1 other modern or jazz class (Taylor Technique and Jazz/Hip hop strongly recommended!)

    • Pointe II recommended for dancers en pointe.

    These are the minimum required classes, we recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible.

  • Level D

    • At least 3 ballet technique classes

    • Contemporary with Emmanuel on Tuesdays

    • Taylor Technique with Willow on Thursdays

    • Pointe III and Jazz/Hip Hop recommended for advanced dancers.

    These are the minimum required classes, we recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible.
